Adding Pictures

Someone asked me how to add a picture to a post.

Q:  What are the advantages of storing, sharing, and tagging web content this way? What are the disadvantages?


A:  On first look at CPL's Favorite Bookmarks one would wonder what could possibably be the advantage of using a social bookmarking website?  Closer examination soon convinces the user that it is greatly to their advantage to have access to their bookmarked favorites no matter where they are or what computer they use.  This is a big bonus especially for people who work in various locations (and not just at CPL!) and use more than one computer.  Knowing that the links, particularily as displayed by CPL have been used by staff and are recommended makes it that much easier to make reference to their content.
 
On the disadvantage side, I found Delicious a bit cumbersome to use at first.  It is still not the easiest, but practice and frequent use make locating the links you are searching for just that much easier and of course, once you have found your favorites, you can create your own list!

First 2.0 Post

Question of the week: What do you hope to learn from CPL 2.0? Answer of the day: Having dabbled a little in blogs, Facebook, Twitter, My Space etc., I am hoping that I will learn to be more than a dabbler. I am looking forward to venturing into the unknown and gaining new skills and the confidence to use them.
