Wow! I can't believe that it is May already and we are 2/3's of the way through our 2.0 explorations. This weeks lesson involved an exploration into the world of Flickr and You tube.
Flickr has been around for what seems like forever. I have never used Flickr for my own pictures, but have certainly viewed tons of other peoples. I find it amazing that some people will post such personal information such as pictures of their infants and children and not restrict who has access to them. I wonder if they knew who was looking at their pictures if they would be so open. A caution to all - if you are going to use web-based photo albums, think twice about the privacy and security settings.
You Tube is another site that I have made a lot of use of. I have not posted any videos yet. I simply haven't produced anything worth posting. Perhaps someday. It seems that almost anything goes when it comes to what can be found on You Tube. Whether it's educational or entertainment you can probably find it on You Tube. Even politicians get into the act these days!
Both Flickr and You Tube are very easy to use which has certainly added to their popularity.
Has anyone yet identified an addiction to these social media sights? I think I could name a few candidates. What about you?
